ASK is the Nodal Agency for the CMLD & DMLD courses organized by State Resource Centre (SRC), the central and state government agency for non-formal education, Trivandrum. The course is to develop professionals to work in the field of learning disability. Such professionals are very rare now. This course is more relevant in the context that CBSE schools are looking for experts to support the children with SLD and Children with Special Education Needs (CWSN).
The CMLD course has been started on 24/08/2017 and it was inaugurated by Dr. A.P. Kuttikrishnan, State Director, SSA Project, Education Department, Government of Kerala. The study materials have been distributed to the participants by Dr. Muhammed Musthafa, Hon. Director, IRLD, MG University. The studentship cards were distributed by Mr. Abdul Salam, Principal, Oxford School, Trivandrum. The course has centers at Kozhikode, Thrissur & Trivandrum. The SRC is conducting CRE programs approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) along with this course. Those who have participated in the CMLD course will get priority for the CRE programs.
